Does Education Should Be Free?

If people say what is the education? Educators say education is creating behavioral change in people. Some countries have compulsory educational system but other countries’ education is not compulsory. Moreover, every compulsory educational system is not free. This topic

is very complex for any countries. Because compulsory education costs a lot of money in countries. Countries spend millions of dollars for education. Most of this money is wasted.

The subject of whether education should be free is most important problem today. I think, education should not be free. Because compulsory education spends a lot of money and many students take education in vain. Therefore, education is not both compulsory and should not be free. In my opinion, if education be free, students do not understand value of education.

Many countries take the PISA exam every four years. PISA is a programme for International Student Assessment. Although many countries take the exam, most of the countries do not pass the exam. When seventy eight countries took the exam in two thousand eighteen, thirty seven countries left below average in math. Thirty four countries left below average in science and thirty five countries left below average in reading comprehension. Moreover, these countries have compulsory education and implement free education. These countries are spending money a lot. This situation is crazy.

I have an idea against this situation. Countries have to choose qualified students. Countries should spend their money on qualified students. Other students must be intermediate element. For example, carpenter, electrician, plumber, technician, … Only poor students must not pay money.

In conclusion compulsory education and free education relate with each other. Because students do not know to appreciate, free education should not be exist. Therefore, free education and compulsory education should not be applied based on the PISA results.
